The Information Commissioner has given me an on the record assurance that he will get his decision on the Williams draft to me by the end of next week.
Next week before the various elections could be very bad timing for Labour. After the elections could be a good time for them to bury bad news, with the media likely to be concentrating on Tony Blair's imminent resignation.
The Commissioner is very keen to dispel the idea that he is stringing the case out for such reasons.
We'll see.
