Holding out for the truth
It's now a month since the Information Commissioner ordered the Cabinet Office to release documents that could provide "evidence that the dossier was deliberately manipulated in order to present an exaggerated case for military action".
The Cabinet Office are not saying whether they will do this or appeal to the Information Tribunal.
The Guardian is reporting that the Tories are promising an Iraq Inquiry, which isn't new but a statement that David Cameron would set up such an inquiry as one of his first acts as prime minister is.
It's quite clear who wants the truth to come out on this one.

Troops out?
The Times has an interview with Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki, who says that British troops should leave. So why are they staying? To give the government a reason not to hold the promised inquiry? Not that there's any guarantee that the promised reduction to a few hundred troops will make an inquiry possible...
