Holding out for the truth

by Chris Ames posted at 2008-10-01 10:14 last modified 2008-10-01 10:14

It's now a month since the Information Commissioner ordered the Cabinet Office to release documents that could provide "evidence that the dossier was deliberately manipulated in order to present an exaggerated case for military action".

The Cabinet Office are not saying whether they will do this or appeal to the Information Tribunal.

The Guardian is reporting that the Tories are promising an Iraq Inquiry, which isn't new but a statement that David Cameron would set up such an inquiry as one of his first acts as prime minister is.

It's quite clear who wants the truth to come out on this one.
