Freedom of Information Act requests

This section deals with requests for information about the dossier made by Chris Ames under the UK's Freedom of Information Act.

  • Cabinet Office 1 asked for information about the drafting process between 10 and 16 September drafts, including the missing 15 September draft.
  • Cabinet Office 4 was a request for the identity of the individual or individuals who re-drafted the dossier's executive summary between 10 and 16 September.
  • Cabinet Office 5 stemmed from the refusal of the Cabinet Office to provide any details of the information that it was refusing to release in Cabinet Office 1.
  • Cabinet Office 9 was an attempt to establish whether the documents that the Cabinet Office retained concerning the drafting process between 11 and 16 September had been disclosed to the Hutton Inquiry.
  • Cabinet Office 10 was an attempt to establish which spin doctors attended the two meetings of the dossier drafting group and what their contribution was.
  • Cabinet Office 11 concerned two meetings attended by Alastair Campbell in September 2002.
  • Cabinet Office 12 arose out of a request for clarification of the response to Cabinet Office 10.
  • Cabinet Office 13 sought to establish "what assessment Sir Gus O'Donnell's (approx June 2007) review of intelligence made regarding the influence of "communications professionals", special advisers and politicians on the September 2002 Iraq dossier.
